Dan and UK Dave came to visit last night. Fred made his famous gumbo and Sue made her famous Caesar Salad. Dave has now officially had Cajun food. I think he liked it!

I have now been smoke free for 7.5 months. Got the other foot done too! No more bunions! YAY!!! Things are looking up.

Kelly finished her last day at the Paul Mitchell School on Saturday. Now she will be getting ready to take her state boards, probably sometime in January. Way to go Kelly! She is now living with her boyfriend Kenny. Kenny is studying to be an electrical engineer. He's on the 10 year plan. He works as a laser light technician, doing laser light shows for parties. He has even done parties for Hollywood celebrities.

My New Cubbyhole Ironing Board

Fred made me a cubbyhole ironing board in the garage. The door opens and the board swings down. The board swivels so you can iron in either direction. He also put an outlet in the cubby so you can plug the iron in up top. When you're done, simply swivel the board back up into the cabinet and close the door. Voila! AND, I found a Rubbermaid hot iron holder on ebay so the hot iron can be hung up as soon as it's unplugged. I also found a lady on ebay that makes custom ironing board covers. Mine has pampered kitties on it. This almost makes ironing pleasant. Well, almost.

A Tale of Two Kitties

A Day of Beauty.....Yesterday I took Kelly to my cosmetologist. She had her eyebrows waxed and tinted, and her eyelashes tinted. Cha-ching, $45. Then we went to the tanning salon. Cha-ching, $30 for two tans. Then we went to the nail salon. Cha-ching, $105 including tip for manicures, pedicures, massages and masks. It was worth it. We feel good. Sorry I don't have pics. Next time.

I have a new left foot. I had bunion surgery on May 23 at Kaiser. It's been 6 weeks, and I am able to wear shoes now and walk like a normal person. I love my new foot. I'm having the right one done in December. Many thanks to Dr. Daniel McDermott, a wonderful podiatric surgeon at Kaiser Permanente.
